c-curve (series)

The C-Curve is comprised of two dished rectangular plates joined together in a hairline seam in the center of the sculpture. Formed from 3/4" stainless steel plate, the sculpture is approximately 7,500lbs. in weight. The optical quality of the mirror finish allows the viewer to become lost in the experience of the reflection, so that the plate is seemingly transformed from a solid object into an extension of space. PSI has fabricated two C-Curves for Anish Kapoor, which have been exhibited at The Louvre in Paris, Brighton, London's Kensington Gardens, and Milan.
