s-curve (series)

As with the C-Curve series, each S-Curve is comprised of two dished rectangular plates joined together in a nearly invisible seam in the center of the sculpture, weighing approximately 7.500 lbs. Unlike the C-Curve, the seam is a perfectly straight line, defining the transition of plate curvature from concave to convex. The concave sides of each half face in opposite directions. PSI has fabricated three S-Curves, which have been exhibited in Venice, Munich, Los Angeles, Norway, Milan, The Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and New Delhi. Stainless steel, produced for artist Anish Kapoor.
